Ground School is a 50-week intensive classroom-based course designed to provide aspiring pilots with a strong theoretical foundation in aviation. The program begins with 6 weeks of core preparation in aviation mathematics, mental math, physics, aviation English, and study techniques. Students are assessed through a series of tests that must be passed to progress.

Single-Engine Training at MACFA starts with a focus on mastering the Cirrus SR22 G6—from ground instruction to hands-on flight.

Course Breakdown:
- 3 weeks of classroom-based training on the Cirrus SR22 G6
- Followed by approximately 200 hours of simulator and aircraft flying sessions

- General handling (stalls, steep turns, climbing & descending, etc.)
- Visual navigation
- Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)

Multi-Engine Training

- Exposure to Line-Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) and international flight scenarios

Multi-Crew Cooperation Training

Instrument Rating Simulator Course
Duration: Approximately 4-6 weeks

Requirement: Private Pilot License (PPL) or equivalent
Course Overview: Enhance your instrument flying skills using advanced simulation technology.
This course focuses on navigation, communication, and procedures under instrument flight
conditions, all within a controlled simulator environment.
Instrument Rating Flight Course
Duration: Approximately 6-8 weeks
Location: MACFA Training Academy, Papua New Guinea
Requirement: Private Pilot License (PPL) with medical clearance
Course Overview: Gain hands-on experience flying under instrument flight rules (IFR). This
course builds your proficiency in operating aircraft in low visibility conditions and prepares you
for real-world aviation scenarios and certification.
Ground Crew Training
Duration: 3-4 weeks
Location: MACFA Training Academy, Papua New Guinea
Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent
Course Overview: Develop the skills required for effective ground operations at airports. Topics
include baggage handling, ramp services, refueling, aircraft servicing, and safety protocols.
Requirement: Open to all applicants with a passion for customer service
Course Overview: Learn the core principles of hospitality including customer service, food and
beverage handling, and guest interaction. Ideal for careers in hotels, resorts, and service
industries.
Hotel and Restaurant Training
Requirement: Basic education and communication skills
Course Overview: A focused training program on hotel front office operations and restaurant
service management. Students will gain hands-on experience in guest check-in/check-out
procedures, reservations, concierge services, and restaurant hosting and serving—ideal
preparation for entry-level roles in the hospitality and food service sectors.
Housekeeping Training
Requirement: None; open to all interested applicants
Course Overview: This training covers essential domestic skills such as cleaning, cooking,
personal care, and time management—ideal for those seeking employment in residential or
household service roles.
